Dacia AR: the augmented reality application

Since 15 June 2022, Dacia vehicles have carried the brand's new visual identity. To keep customers going until the models reached dealerships, Dacia turned to Scale-1 Portal: a free augmented reality application for smartphone and tablet.

New colours, new logo, new Dacia Link emblem — the identity was already live on the brand's European websites and across its sales material. But while most customers could already configure the model they wanted, they had to wait until October to see the vehicles: first at the Paris Motor Show, then in the network.

That is the gap Dacia AR fills. Simple, playful and open to everyone, the application places any vehicle in the range into your own surroundings, at full 1:1 scale — and lets you step inside it.

Seeing the vehicle where you are

In your garage, on a car park, in the street: you just drop the vehicle into the setting of your choice. Walk up to it, walk around it, get in, zoom in on a detail — all of it works.

A tool for the network as much as for the customer

Dealerships can use it to show vehicles differently, alongside the tools they already have. Dacia AR proves particularly useful when a salesperson wants to present a model that is not in the showroom: the entire range is in the application, in every colour.

The application has kept evolving since. Successive versions are detailed on the Dacia AR page.
