Privacy Policy

This page describes exactly what this site collects, why, and what you can demand. It is written from how the site actually works, not from a template.

Who is responsible

SCALE-1 PORTAL, a simplified joint-stock company with share capital of €3,000, registered with the Versailles Trade and Companies Register under number B 801 879 529, with registered office at 12 avenue des Prés, 78180 Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France.

What we collect

One thing only: what you write in the contact form. There is no other processing — no account, no order, no profiling.

• What you enter: name, email address, company (optional) and message.
• What the server adds: the date of sending, attached to the message.

Your IP address is neither transmitted nor stored. The server computes a hashed fingerprint of it, for the sole purpose of rate-limiting submissions from the same connection. That fingerprint cannot lead back to your address, and expires on its own after one hour.

Why, and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry: on the basis of your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You may withdraw it at any time.
• To prevent abuse: on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the form from spam.

For how long

Your message is kept in our mailbox for three years from our last exchange, then deleted. If your enquiry leads to no exchange at all, it is deleted within twelve months.

Who has access

Messages arrive in the Scale-1 Portal mailbox and are read only by the relevant staff. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.

The site is hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. The data stays in France.

Third-party services

We use no advertising network and no social media buttons. Typefaces are hosted on our own server. Two external services may be contacted by your browser:

• YouTube — two case-study pages embed a video. We use YouTube’s no-cookie mode, and the video only loads if you scroll down to it. If you play it, Google’s own policy then applies.
• Google Analytics — to measure traffic on this site. It is only loaded after your explicit consent: until you accept, no request is sent to Google and no measurement cookie is set. Processing is carried out by Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies and local storage

No cookie is set until you accept audience measurement. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies, whose lifetime is set by Google. If you decline, nothing is loaded — and the site works exactly the same.

Regardless of that choice, the site keeps two items in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, serve no tracking purpose, and are exempt from consent on that basis:

• s1-lang — the language you chose, so we do not ask again on every visit.
• s1-consent — your answer to the banner, so we do not ask again.

You can change your mind at any time through the Cookies link in the footer. Clearing site data in your browser resets everything.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise it, write to contact@scale1portal.com. We reply within one month.
